eBay changes its skin, it seems. It is not a mystery, however - and it’s evident that also in this field Amazon “rules”- that the shipping time for an ecommerce business represents a crucial point to succeed in selling.

After the Money back guarantee – launched in Italy last year - this summer eBay will launch the Guaranteed Delivery program starting with the United States (for the Italian market there are not yet info about time and ways for this service).

Let’s see in detail what is eBay Guaranteed Delivery. In this program, the seller have to specify a guarantee for the buyer about the time required for the delivery of the item, the maximum of delivery date is 3 days. If this requisite is not fulfilled, the buyer can ask for a refund of the shipping fees or a voucher for the deliveries with free shipping.

Not every eBay listing, however, will have this guarantee but it is estimated that over 20 millions of items will be eligible for this program. This new “feature” of the listing will be, obviously, visible: the eBay buyers can filter according to the listings that have the Guaranteed Delivery and search, among millions of offerts, those who have this possibility: this will be an extra for the seller that will join this program, in particular for those who work hard to be professional and competitive.

Another step for eBay through the ecommerce at a maximum level where, instead, it seems that Amazon is always the ruler. At this link, the official page of the program.
